Day 7

Today was a very special day I’ve been told as it was my birthday. It wasn’t the best start of the day as I suddenly realised we didn’t top up the car with petrol before leaving the keys at reception. Although we weren’t charged extra for it, I was still disappointed in us!

As the old saying goes, you can’t drink away your problems. But it was a special day so we needed to have the cava for breakfast, it was a must!

The rest of the day was spent by the pool and chilling out. Our neighbours had solved their problems and so it was a lovely relaxing day, albeit a bit uneventful. The highlight of the day was receiving some complimentary cava from the hotel and having my cheese sandwich, our cheap alternative to lunch that we made at breakfast!

After lunch, the sun got bored of the uneventful day and it disappeared behind a sea of clouds, popping out at random times to see if anything interesting was going on. It’s been a hard day to blog, so enjoy some of these pictures from today before we get ready for dinner.
The venue for dinner was a place we found on the first day outside Binibeca, Sa Cova del Sol, a sort of nature loving, hip and trendy tapas restaurant. I didn’t put our Avon Skin so fresh (which is actually amazing for getting rid of insects and mosquitoes) on in time tonight and the mosquitoes had found me again and gave me a few goodbye bites to remember them!

On the walk back, we even managed to notice Elon Musk’s Starlink floating through the air like a caterpillar. Not quite like a shooting star on your birthday but we’ll take it. It was our last night in Menorca so what better than to whip the drone out for one last time when we got back to the hotel. It’s been great!
