The Babymoon

You may have already seen the newest Gin & Travel news that we're recruiting our youngest intern yet - a little baby boy this summer. To celebrate, we're off to Mallorca for our babymoon.

For those unsure what this term means, a bit like me, a babymoon is similar to a honeymoon in that it’s a celebratory vacation. But instead of spending alone time with your spouse after getting married, you’re enjoying quality time together before the birth of a new baby. It has become popular recently as once a baby arrives, there are often few opportunities to enjoy a getaway...although Anna has various travel opportunities already lined up for our little bundle of joy.

Our flight wasn't until 9pm on Easter Sunday so after Louis' service, a couple of Easter eggs and a spring clean of the house so that we arrive back to our little home all clean and ready, we left for Belfast International, shipping Pippin off to Donegal for the week.

After 12 chapters of adventure, we finally have a Priority Pass allowing us to use the aiport lounges whenever we want. The only problem was that Belfast International close their lounge at 8pm so we had to share the Lagan Bar with the Warwickshire GAA team, who must have won something - they sang about it once or twice...

Our flight was delayed over an hour but we eventually jetted off into the night sky and arrived into Mallorca just after 2.30am. Overheard conversations suggested our 10 minute taxi ride to Palma was the shortest out of the other passengers, all heading to Magaluf and Santa Ponsa.

Checked in and tucked up in bed, we fell asleep to Below Deck on E4. Not going to lie, we totally got hooked and Louis stayed up until well after 4am to not miss the goss. Buenas Noches.
