After breakfast, Louis headed off to do his Zoom meetings and I found a bed by the pool. It was a very chill morning and afternoon for our last full day in Mallorca but we planned to head into Palma this evening for drinks and dinner to make up for it. After rotating between the outdoor and indoor pools, we got ready for the evening.

Louis was stressed about getting the public bus and despite all his research, it was actually really straightforward. €2 and 30mins later, the bus brought us straight into the city centre. We were so glad to get off as right behind us were two boys and their mum and dad, who were all so, so loud. It made us question everything about parenting!

Our first stop of the evening was a very good recommendation. We decided to check it out and it was well worth it. Bar Abeco was a fancy cocktail place, transporting you into the classic 17th century, with the decor, fresh flowers, fruit and candles, all accompanied by the very best of Mozart and other classical music to set the scene.

Although the cocktails - which were the only things they were selling - are quite steep, you’re really buying into the ambience rather the drinks. With that being said, Louisordered the Argentina and it was by far one of the strongest cocktails he has ever had. When he ordered, the barman said “100%, I called it”. Not too sure what he meant by that…

Rikito was booked for dinner and this was found by Anna through TikTok recommendations. It’s always packed so we had to book ahead. When we arrived, they were already turning people in the queue away so we were glad we booked ahead.

To be fair, it was one of the best pesto pasta dishes I have ever had and Anna had more truffle than pasta in her dish. Definitely worth the walk to it and booking ahead. Who knew - TikTok can be right sometimes!

Our bus home was much busier than on the way into Palma. Luckily we got a seat as both of us were pushing our stomach’s out. After my pasta
I looked a few months more on than Anna. With the queues at each stop and the number of people to pile on, it took much longer to get back but on the plus side, it dropped us off literally outside the hotel.

We only realised how late it was when we arrived back to the empty hotel. The musician had stopped and the lobby areas were empty. We retired to our room for our last sleep in HM Ayron.
