First things first, jump in the pool. Our morning consisted of swimming, tanning, and working by the pool, in what looked like those instagram posts “Trade stocks with me and this could be your office!”.

With nothing but complementary biscuits in our kitchen, it was time to take a trip to our local supermarket. However, Anna refused to allow me to come up with any sort of meal plan to organise ourselves a wee bit, so we spent a good hour running around the huge shop like headless chickens.

Everybody loves a good tan and we are no exception, what else would you be doing during the hottest part of the day? We got the cooking oil out and baked in the sun, going for a medium-rare reddish look as we took turns in the pool and the sun loungers.

Time for an adventure. From our balcony, Selmun Palace is just a blink away and our first travels took us cross country over the plains and towards this building. Unfortunately, it closed in 2011 and the whole area was deserted except for us. We soon found civilisation as we walked into Mellieha, covered in sweat of course, as we still haven’t got used to this weather – nothing a 5 mile hike can’t fix!

Enquiring at a few car rental shops and enjoying a cold beverage overlooking the north part of the island, we had to come home via our supermarket…this is why you should always plan a shop. However, I was glad we did. Whilst touring the aisles, Anna let some of her shopping fall, and the gentleman that I am, I just watched her helplessly as she crouched down beside the can that was literally spraying the whole shop.

Our go to meal is Tortellini and coupled with bruschetta, we enjoyed a very simple dinner looking on at the sunset. The sky changed colours so many times I was made to take pictures of all the different shades of colour. Retiring to our fire pit area, we used our stargazing app to locate the stars, finding out that Jupiter and Saturn were just above us, shining nice and bright. Two adjectives that can also be used to describe Anna!

P.S. Happy blogerversary!! It’s our 4th birthday 🎉
