We began our day with a visit to the Injidup Natural Spa, a stunning rock pool near Yallingup where waves crash over the rocks, creating a natural spa effect. Despite the allure, the cold wind made it less inviting, though a few brave souls ventured in. Not us!

Alexander was enjoying a deep sleep, but we had to wake him to get into his wetsuit, which he wasn’t thrilled about given the chilly conditions.

Anna was desperate to drive and took the wheel, and with Alexander expressing his displeasure by screaming in the back seat, we made our way to Yallingup Beach for a much-needed coffee stop.

There, we met up with Rich, Hester, and a few more friends. A spontaneous game of beach cricket ensued, providing good fun and a chance to warm up.

After returning home for showers, we set out again for some wine tasting in the nearby vineyards. Our first stop was Pierro, where we enjoyed complimentary tastings. We then visited Masseria, which turned out to be a restaurant despite the signage.

Our favourite was Domaine Naturaliste, where we enjoyed a cheeseboard and spent a good bit of time with some amazing wine. I was tempted to sign up as a ‘friend’. Alexander also had a go at pulling some grapes straight from the vine.

At Credaro, Alexander napped on me while Anna, now a self-proclaimed wine expert, quizzed the waitress on the wine selections.

Back home, we fed George and enjoyed a curry paired with some of our newly acquired wines. With the TV finally cooperating, we settled in to watch Married at First Sight again, reflecting on a day filled with natural beauty, good company, and delightful wines.
